ADHD Planner and Organizer for Adults – 6x9 Wire-O Spiral
Designed by a fellow adult with ADHD, this is the journal I made for myself. My experience is it is not just a coping mechanism, but allowed me more freedom to leverage the unique strengths that come with ADHD because all that extra clutter in my head was gone.
I don’t know exactly what the science or secret is, but something about physically writing down on paper is incredibly beneficial. Using an app or writing notes on a tablet or phone is not the same, not even close in fact. That’s how this got started, I got into a habit of jotting down lists and keeping written track of things, and that turned into its own little project. I started looking for better templates or styles and customized everything that worked and tossed what didn’t.
You will find a range of features to help you stay organized, focused, and on track. Whether you need to keep track of appointments and deadlines, manage your finances, plan healthy meals and workouts, or stay on top of your medications, this planner has everything you need:
- Weekly planner
- To-Do lists (for big picture and projects)
- Budget
- Fitness
- Meal planning
- Medication tracking
- Mind mapping
- Passwords
- Reading log
- and a free space with lined journal pages
The most important thing is to use it how it works for you! Stay diligent and turn it into a habit, but if something really isn’t useful or creates more stress than it relieves, don’t do it anymore! For example, I like the Budget section but I personal don’t use it anymore. It was very helpful for a while, but it helped me develop other better habits and eventually that section of journal wasn’t useful anymore. That’s a good thing!
Meal Tracking sometimes feels like a chore, but I do it religiously still today. Even when I have to force myself, I’m always so happy I did a few days later.
